Marsfield

This job was to renew an old wall which had failed. It was made from 30mm thick stone flagging and had the weight of the neighbours block slowly pushing it out to the point as shown to the left, it failed. An engineer was employed and a block wall was recommended with an L shaped footing with plenty of steel both in the foundation and the wall itself. The total length of the wall is 30 metres

Excavation

The old wall was removed and the concrete drive was cut and removed to allow the 1200mm footing to be prepared

Acro Prop

Carport supports were removed and acro props put in to allow us to continue the foundation to the end

Steel in

Steel was layed in the footing with 1 metre risers for the starter bars for the block wall every 400mm
